Them

They were magic together. He had them all in stitches all day long. He could make them laugh like no one else could. He could do the same thing to me. Man he was funny!

Today for no reason I can see or figure out I'm deeply sad. Sometimes I'm sad and mad at the same time but today I'm just sad. He's missing so much. And so are they. My kids had a Daddy that loved them and took care of them.

And now he's gone. So I'm sad.

Oh sweet Mary... Their love for each other is written all over these pictures. I'll never forget when Sean met Nathan, he told Nathan, "I understand you're a guy who actually enjoys his kids?" And it launched a conversation about the best parts of fatherhood. He was a great Daddy, Mary. Shedding tears with you today friend, and praying sadness will soon give way to light.

Oh Mur. It's good to see those pictures. I'm so glad you were able to deal with those. I'm so thankful you have them. Yes, Sean is gone, but your kids HAVE a Daddy. They may not see him or even remember him, but they have a Daddy. His dedication raising them is not undone, and neither is his love for them nor his hopes for them.

Love can never disappear. Sometimes it seems really far away, but it will always be with you all!

It blows my mind that the kids know he's just far away right now. He's not gone. His absence is so hard, but it's not forever. I love you and continue to lift you up in prayer.
