Ten ways you can tell I have a kid that's potty-training
10. I have two different "cozy" seats in the front seat of my car.
9. I buy apple juice and Miralax in bulk.
8. I no longer schedule play dates around nap times but potty times.
7. I keep track of potty times.
6. I keep Christmas presents hidden to give as rewards.
5. We've saved approximately $43,000 dollars by not buying diapers.
4. And put every cent of that into laundry detergent.
3. I've called my parents and Sean's parents at least two times a day to share THE BIG NEWS and also called/texted my friends with each "accomplishment." And they have all cheered with me. That they have all cheered=they know my happiness totally depends on each "accomplishment."
2. I write "potty" as part of a blog post title.
1. I've googled "waterproof pad for bed" more than once in the last week.
Oh and one more: I've started viewing Joy as my easiest child since she wears diapers.

What I Wore Wednesday
But first, proof that I'm not normal. See this kid?

My beloved firstborn? He got in trouble at school yesterday. I'm so proud! I couldn't be more excited. But why? Why would that EVER be good news?
He got in trouble for talking to his friends in the hall.
Just like that, his teachers had to jump into action and tell him to NOT talk even when he has "somethin' he need to tell Gabe."
When his teacher told me I nearly cried out of excitement. I mean, he has to obey his teacher and if she says ______ he needs to do it but you have to step back and see the progress. It's amazing, y'all. Amazing. A year ago he'd barely talk to us let alone another kid he was playing with. His school has helped him learn how to become a little social thing. Woohoo!
Okay so that was my proud mommy moment. Here is what I wore:

Um don't expect too much this week. In this one I'm wearing a hoodie that I got when Ty was 3 months old. I got it for my first Christmas as a new mom and the reason I got it is because I was nursing and got so flustered/hot/sweaty/frustrated that I had to wear things I could easily do away with in a moments notice. Really, if that's not something to base your life's glamor ambitions on I don't know what is.

Dress/tunic depending on how old you are-Nordstrom BP on sale for $12.99 the week after Christmas.
Jeans-Forever 21
Boots-Anthropologie and no, not getting one bit tired of them yet

Weird angle, I know. I realized this afternoon that today was Tuesday and I was like 4 outfits behind and I'm too lazy to go upstairs to take a picture in front of the (covered in handprints) mirror.
Sweater dress-Forever 21
Plaid shirt-Target last year
Jeans-Old Navy (maternity) ha
Boots-Old Navy
Okay y'all, someone else needs to join in the WIWW fun. Leave me a link in the comments if you have a WIWW post!

Snowmaggedeon
I'm copying my favorite weatherman's word-he has been calling this storm we got today snowmaggedeon and I liked it. It was a fun day that didn't disappoint.

Killing time waiting for the snow

Anticipation...

What is that, mom?

I think I like it...

But I'm not sure

No I do NOT like it

At least these two did

Yep we are thinking of moving somewhere that it snows more than once a year.

Well, not really. But we like it when it snows.
The End.

Things I love

Hot chocolate in a Valentines Day mug. Don't forget the cool whip. It's of extreme importance.

This face that she makes approximately 100 times a day.

This cutie patootie (resale place) find for Charlie. $4.99

When she wants to do what Daddy is doing, just because she likes being with him.

When someone tries to fill my shoes

When waiting for brother makes them this happy
When we have a zillion showings and no offers on the house.
Oh wait. I DON'T love that. At least I have a million things going on that I DO love.
Happy Day Y'all.

What I Wore Wednesday
On Thursday. Ahem.

My new scarf that I just finished last night. It's my first infinity scarf and even though it makes me too hot I really like it.
The shirt was an Old Navy $3.99 find, just a cozy t shirt with little ruffles. Jeans are a funny story. Y'all remember when I found some great bargains at Old Navy a while back? One of the steals was a pair of jeans I bought to give Jennie, who is pregnant with a little girl! Did I tell y'all that? Anyway, I found a pair of maternity jeans for $.47 and gave them to Jennie but she didn't need them so I had every intention of giving them to someone else until...
well...
I tried them on. The rest is history.

They are fantastic. And I'm not one bit embarrassed. I mean y'all they are COMFY.

Found these at Old Navy too. They had been returned that day and didn't have a tag so the gal gave them to me for $8.99. Sweet.

The toughest two I know
First, because she's the younger victim, let me show y'all what happened to Joy while her momma was gone

The sassy band aid is covering multiple scabs. But that's not all.

My poor girl fell at the park.

Isn't that the most pitiful little nose you've ever seen? Sean said she literally skidded on the sidewalk on her face. After one minute of crying, he said she did this.

Like, "Well, I'll be alright. It ain't that bad. Let's keep playing."
Her brother also fell that day and scraped his finger and cried for ten minutes. One finger. I totally believe that he outcried her tenfold too.
The other tough one is Joy's daddy. He has been telling me that his foot has been sore for about a month. Last week he showed me a knot on the outside of that same foot and I told him to go to the doctor. He went this morning looking totally normal and came home like this.

Turns out he has a stress fracture in his foot. Does anybody else find this weird? That he was just milling around like normal and all and didn't realize there was something BAD WRONG with his foot?
K good I'm glad I'm not alone.
Basically if I have any issues in the next week or two I can't complain at all.

Road trip princess
We got home last night and proceeded to sleep about 14 hours. I'm so happy that I could go visit my brother and sister-in-law and their kids. It was definitely a vacation for me. As I snuggled into my own bed and dozed off in my hubby's arms though, I found myself thankful to be back home where I belong. Funny how a trip can do that for you...an escape and a pull back home at the same time.
It's nap time. Night night.
